What's next, God?

Just saying a little prayer tonight along with the other little prayers, that I listen when you tell me what is next. I pray to work for you Lord.

Tell me am I supposed to sell my handmade goods, plan parties? Or just be a stay at home mom like I am. I want more babies but I don't see how we can afford them with out my help. You know the questions on my heart, and I'll listen for your answers.

How about y'all? Do you pray this prayer in your life? Did you get your answer and were surprised by the outcome? Do you need a prayer too?

Harrison's County Fair- First Birthday Party!

Yeeeeehawww! What a sizzlin' summer day it was last Saturday! A high noon birthday in the middle of Florida summer was just what this mama wanted no rain nor a cloud in sight at Harrison's County Fair! I am so completely thrilled to share some photos from the before work and crafty-ness that went into the big day and he party itself!
Here's a group shot from early on in the party
(believe it or not this ain't all the folks who came to Harrison's County Fair!)

Now Let's start with some pictures of BEFORE:

The Invitation:

Some DIY Details:

Top left: rolled silverware in whimsical state fair theme. they were wooden, red, blue, and yellow plastic.
Top right: Ikea 15$ chalkboard with hashtags to take pictures at the party with. you can look at my Instagram (@carrynbabyyy) to see more!
Bottom left: A paper pinwheel with coiled twine in the middle, glued to medium sized clothespins to close the paper sack goodie bags!
Bottom right: Theses are the goodie bags set to dry. I got all the contents from Cracker Barrell. Some of the contents include chocolate gold coins, fool's gold bubble gum, candy sticks, bubbles, and sugar daddy pops (a variety and random combination)

Now let's look at these PARTY pics!:

Remember these centerpieces from my first post?!
They ended up being table cloth holders on account of the wind catchin'!
Homemade photo booth!
(with props kit from Walmart for 5$- really helped on time!)
-Hay bales
-Gingham fabric to sit on
-Balloons
We rented a big galvanized tub, filled with ice and had glass Coke bottles and water sittin' when you walked up. Two of my favorite brothers splittin' a Coke!

What a cute bunch!

This is where cups, paper straws, silverware, and napkins sat and where we brought the food when it was ready! It was too hot to keep the cake outside so we left it in the fridge until cake time!
-rolled napkins and silver, tied with twine set out in a flower pot
-paper straws in mason jars
-napkins in a basket
I was running behind with set up (no matter how prepared you think you are, you're not, but don't sweat it, roll with the punches!)
But here my aunt and grandmother set up the blue ribbon #1!!
-homemade bowtie necklaces instead of party hats!
me taking a break to take pics
(if you're wondering where H and Trav are, they were waiting in the car while H finished his nap so he wasn't too cranky, this was still early on

Me and my mother in law, and brother in law!

AND FINALLY HARRISON MAKES HIS APPEARANCE!

Everyone was so excited to visit with him, he wasn't quite awake though!

Here's daddy! Yes I know, he's handsome. ;)

Look at Jojo modeling his goodie bag! LOVE him!! :)

It didn't all play out according to MY plan but I think my prayers to help with my anxiety and to remember the meaning of the celebration and our friends and family getting together were all part of God's plan!
We have enough leftover barbecue, leftover cake, mosquito bites and  wonderful experiences to carry with us into our memories to be able to tell Harrison about when he is older.

Have a happy week y'all!

Harrison you are a year old!

Well, the day came and it went and it was far from perfect but we all enjoyed ourselves! I will post about Harrison's County Fair later this week but here is a little birthday note to my special little guy!

I cannot believe it, baby you are one!

When you were born my life changed and it was for the better!

Your daddy and I love you soooooo much!!
You remind me everyday that I am here to glorify God and show Him and all of His people love. I feel like I can love so much more because God made me your mother! Wow, let's see I think time has gone by wayyyyy to fast but I really love where you are at right now! You laugh and stick your tongue out, you are curious and so so smart! You clap your hands and play peek-a-boo! And you're HUGE! You weigh 23.6 pounds and are 32 inches tall which puts you in the 97th percentile for your height! I so look forward to seeing you learn more things and making more memories with you and learning more about life that you have to teach me.
I love you sweet boy. Love, mama
